The authorised tariff and the standard tariff

For treatment dispensed by practitioners contracted to the fund, the standard tariff is:

  • a billing limit tariff with regards insureds holding a "green" card.
  • the reimbursement rate used by the fund.

The authorised tariff is the reimbursement rate used for treatment dispensed by practitioners not contracted to the fund.

It should be noted that the standard tariff is more than three times the authorised tariff.

Example:

  • Fees invoiced by a specialist doctor for the consultation of an insured person in the green category: €36.50.
  • If the practitioner is contracted:
    the reimbursement will generally be 36.50 x 80% = €29.20.
  • If the practitioner is not contracted:
    the reimbursement will be 9.39 x 80% = €7.51.
