Calculation of the monthly family quotient
Earned income / (Family divisor X number of working months)
All the earned income of those people making up the household during the reference period is totalled.
The household composition is used to determine the family divisor:
| couple without child and single head of the household | divider value | 2.4 |
| single without dependent child | divider value | 1.5 |
| for each dependent child | adding to the divider | 0.8 |
