Change of family composition

Any change of situation may affect your rights.
You must therefore declare such changes as soon as possible to your Fund.

  • I am now living with a partner, what procedures should I follow?

    • You should inform Family Benefits Department at the earliest opportunity of your de facto separation, even if there is no formal judgment yet, using a joint declaration of separation.

    • Indeed, the resulting change of family composition, as well as the effective residence of the child(ren) may change your entitlements.
  • I'm pregnant, what should I do?
    • A declaration of pregnancy must be made within three months of the presumed date of conception, using the "Pregnancy Declaration" form.

    • The Family Benefits Department will then send you a file to complete if you meet the conditions of access to prenatal allowances.
  • I have just had a child, what should I do?
    • You should send a complete copy of your child's birth certificate.
    • The Family Benefits Department will then send you a file to complete if you meet the conditions of access to allowances.
  • How do Family Services define a dependent child?
    • To be considered as a dependent child, your child must:
      • Be in your effective and usual care; you must participate in their education and maintenance,
      • Reside under your roof (except for educational or medical reasons or institutional placement for the child's benefit),
      • Be under 21 years of age.
  • My child is no longer dependent, what procedures should be followed?
    • If your child is no longer dependent and has permanently left your home, they are no longer considered as a dependent child and access to family allowances provided by C.A.M.T.I. is closed.
    • You must therefore declare this change at the earliest opportunity to the Family Benefits Department.
    • Moreover, as this situation affects your child's health insurance, you should contact our Medical Services Department.
  • My child has ended his / her education, what should I do?
    • If your child has completed his / her education, if he / she stops his / her education for a time or permanently, or if he / she is taking up employment, access to family allowances provided by C.A.M.T.I. is closed.
    • You must declare this situation at the earliest opportunity by sending a sworn statement and, if he / she is taking up employment, a copy of his / her employment contract to the Family Benefits Department.
    • Moreover, as this situation affects your child's health insurance, you should contact our Medical Services Department.
    • NB : rights may be maintained, under certain conditions, for persons registering for the first time with the Employment Office.
  • If my child is gainfully employed during the school holidays, what do I need to do?
    • If your child has a professional activity in the summer season, his/her revenue is neutralised and the payment of family benefits is not called into question, on the condition he/she resumes schooling for the coming school year.
    • If, however, this activity follows the final years of schooling, payment of family benefits ends with the end of the first full month of your child’s professional activity.
