Bonus benefit
Conditions
- Condition of Rights
- For beneficiaries of a direct CAR pension:
- To benefit from the bonus, the applicant must have retired from CAR and AGIRC-ARRCO.
- For beneficiaries of a CAR survivor's pension (surviving spouses and orphans):
- You have been receiving an AGIRC-ARRCO survivor's pension since before 1 January 2024:
- To benefit from the bonus, the applicant must receive a survivor's pension from AGIRC-ARRCO before January 1, 2024.
- The right to bonus opens:
- Either on January 1, if the applicant also benefits from a CAR survivor's pension on this date
- Or on the effective date of their CAR survivor's pension, if it is set after January 1, 2024
- You will receive an AGIRC-ARRCO survivor's pension after 1 January 2024 following the death of your spouse who had a pension from this organisation:
- Either on January 1, if the applicant also benefits from a CAR survivor's pension on this date
- Or on the effective date of their CAR survivor's pension, if it is set after January 1, 2024
- Surviving spouses and orphans who would be entitled to an AGIRC-ARRCO supplementary pension survivor's pension after 1 January 2024 will receive this benefit from the date on which they receive both CAR and AGIRC-ARRCO survivors' pensions.
Application for bonus benefit
- How to Make My Application
- You were contacted by the Pension Service in May 2024 to submit your application for bonus benefits. If you have not submitted your complete file by 10 November 2025, you will not be eligible for benefits for this year or subsequent years.
- Only surviving spouses receiving a CAR and AGIRC-ARRCO survivor's pension as of 1 January 2024 will be sent a bonus benefit application form as part of the survivor's pension file.
Calculation
- How Is the Number of Bonus Points Calculated
- To calculate the amount of the bonus benefit, a number of bonus points is determined, in the first year, from:
- The amount of your CAR pension(1)
- Your non-executive /executive equivalent or executive status, during your career in Monaco.
- The number of bonus points is calculated as follows:
- If you have benefited from “non-executive” status throughout your career in Monaco:

- If you have benefited from “non-executive” status throughout your career in Monaco:

- If you have benefited from “executive equivalent” or “executive” status during your career in Monaco:

- If you have benefited from “executive equivalent” or “executive” status during your career in Monaco:
- (1) For the calculation of the annual amount of your CAR pension, only points acquired from employers who have contributed to AGIRC-ARRCO for periods of salaried or equivalent activity in Monaco before January 1, 2024 are taken into account.
- Points linked to activities carried out as a non-permanent CHPG agent or as an agent of the State or the Municipality are not taken into account.
- To calculate the amount of the bonus benefit, a number of bonus points is determined, in the first year, from:
- How Is the Amount of the Bonus Calculated
- Each year, the amount of the bonus is calculated as follows:
- (Number of bonus points) X (Number of months of receipt of the CAR retirement pension during the reference year) (1) X (Monthly bonus point value)
- The monthly value of the bonus point is set annually by Ministerial Decree. For the November 2025 payment, it is set at 0.009158 euros.
- It corresponds to:

- (1) Pour le premier exercice, qui s’achèvera le 30 septembre 2024, le nombre de mois de perception de la pension de retraite CAR correspond à la période de janvier à septembre 2024 et est plafonné à 9.
Payment
- Payment Arrangements
- The supplementary retirement pension enhancement benefit is paid annually before November 30 following the end of the financial year.
- The bonus benefit is paid, by transfer, to the same bank or postal account as that used for the CAR pension.
- Each payment of the bonus benefit is final. Any reassessment of the amount of the benefit that may occur on the basis of new supporting documents will only take effect for the future.
