Compensatory Allowance
Conditions
- Rights and Age Conditions
- The right to the compensatory allowance is open to people who meet the following conditions:
- Are 65 years old at the time of application (legal retirement age).
- Have exercised a salaried activity in Monaco.
- Do not have sufficient contribution time to be eligible for payment of a CMRC retirement pension.
- Have rights acquired from ARRCO, AGIRC or AGIRC-ARRCO for periods of salaried activity in Monaco.
- To ensure that you are in fact affected by this situation, you can consult the conditions for entitlement to a CAR direct retirement pension on the dedicated page or contact the Retirement Service.
- This is a personal right. The insured's heirs cannot request the benefit of the compensatory allowance in the event of death.
- The right to the compensatory allowance is open to people who meet the following conditions:
Compensatory allowance application
- How to Make My Application
- An application to benefit from the compensatory allowance must be made to the Retirement Service.
- You can contact the Retirement Service to obtain the application form, as well as the list of supporting documents to provide.
- An application for allowance can only be taken into account if it is presented after the age of 65.
Calculculation
- How is the Amount of the Compensatory Allowance Calculated
- The amount of the allowance is calculated as follows:
- (Number of AGIRC-ARRCO points) X (CMRC annual point value) X (Multiplier coefficient)(1)
- (Number of AGIRC-ARRCO points) calculation of the compensatory allowance, only points acquired from AGIRC-ARRCO, relating to periods of salaried activity in Monaco before January 1, 2024 are taken into account
- (1) The multiplier coefficient is set by Ministerial Decree and depends on the age of the applicant.
Payment
- Payment Arrangements
- The compensatory allowance is made as a single payment.
- It is paid by transfer to the bank or postal account of the beneficiary
- or to a joint account opened in the name of both spouses.
- From the date of this payment, the supplementary retirement points which had been acquired by the applicant, for a period of activity or similar, are no longer effective.
